This is the site for the new tower.  The steeply sloping terrain on my lot, which makes for some very nice antenna elevation patterns toward Europe, tends to complicate any of my construction projects.




The HD-70 tower was shipped from AN Wireless unassembled on two pallets.  Here you can see both the tower and the 700 feet of rebar I cut and formed for the reinforcement cage.




A neighbor of mine owns a large local landscaping company and offered to dig the hole for me, so I asked him to also dig a portion of the trench that will contain the feedline and control cables.  You might think that a 24 inch bucket on a backhoe is overkill for a simple trench, but wait 'til you see the rocks ...
